How has it already been 8 years since our sweet Ryan joined our family?! It feels like yesterday we were watching the Olympics betting on how fast Josh could run (this story just came up the other day when Josh claimed he could dribble as fast as a 10 year old You Tube star). He has always been, and I hope he always stays sweet and sensitive. He is definitely the quieter one of the 3, but started to find his voice a bit more. He seems to be happy to just observe and have fun. He loves his brother and sister so much and I watch him try to please them both, just like I do. We've had discussions about being a middle child and why its so great and can be challenging and I told him its what makes us both special. He's really been missing his sports, it breaks my heart. I think he misses his friends, the challenge and focus and being the center of attention. He's really taken to baking which is awesome! He's been making some different dessert bars and love cooking us all eggs for breakfast. He's taken up surfing, one sport he can still do! He still loves snuggling and I love the mornings he crawls in bed, since they are rare these days. He's growing up so fast and I feel lucky to have been able to spend so much time with him lately. I am always trying to find ways to make him feel special and give him some alone time. I just hope he knows how much I love him and that I always have his back.
