I feel so lucky that during this difficult time, we've been able to not only spend a lot of quality family time together, but take some adventures along the way! Last weekend we headed up to Lake Arrowhead, it was beautiful! We rented a really cool/big 3 story house and just spend time enjoying the outdoors and exploring.
Owen takes his two babies everywhere and held them almost the whole 2.5 hour drive.
There was a oddly low counter on one side of the kitchen that made for a great seat :)
The main balcony was over a little waterfall so it was so peaceful!
Thank God no one fell off....
So beautiful!
The "town" was literally a ghost town - fine by us!
We drove to Big Bear one day to rent a boat!
This girl is growing up too fast, right before my eyes.
Of course Josh had to dive in, despite the fact you are NOT allowed to jump off boats in Big Bear. They he realized it was a big drop to the water from the pontoon boat and could barely get back in with no ladder. Ha!
I make him promise me all the time to stay this sweet forever
"Look - I am like a teenager"
Always a handstand
I have never seen them crash so hard in the car before!
We (Ryan) figured out how to set the timing on my phone, so lots of pictures. Ha!
It was fun having a new backdrop to the beach
Always Shaka signs! This kid.
We had to walk up what felt like a million stairs back to the car
He picked this shirt out himself :)
Another vacation, another puzzle :)
Every night after dinner we walked around the neighborhood looking for pine cones and sticks
Isn't this just the sweetest?!
We thought a 2 mile hike sounded easy...
After a few breaks we made it in 2 hours. Ha! It was so pretty and something totally different than what we can do in SD
He sat on this log and wouldn't move, told me to go and leave him alone. After some convincing, he let me carry him the rest of the way
Cherishing the moments when I can still hold him....
There was a 50 person max at the beach so one day we had to wait and Owen got to play on a playground for the first time in months!
Bye bye beach
We played a LOT of cornhole games on the front driveway. So fun!
And that's a wrap, until our next adventure....
