Annual Claire-monster Halloween Parade

Last weekend was the Brubaker's annual Claire-monster parade! It has grown over the past 6 years from 30 to 200 neighbors. They really area amazing for hosting it every year and they always make a grand entrance :)  The kids have a blast and it is especially great for Owen who can trick or treat when it is light out :) The Brubakers really stepped it up this year too, with a taco truck and activities like bobbing for apples.
We stuck to our sports theme and dressed up like Lakers players and fans (me and Emmy always get the easy costume - Ha!). It was a hit, especially Owen :)

We arrived early so Owen got to play before all the crowd came.

The grand entrance. Ahahaha

It took Ryan a while, probably because he is missing so many teeth! But finally got one.

Emmy had so much fun, she asked if we could bob for apples at home the next day!

Weekend Fun

It sure was nice to have Josh back this weekend! Our days were full of Halloween celebrations, soccer, baseball and spring cleaning. The house is almost done - lots of pictures to come!

My boys :)

Trunk or treat at school!

"mom - i just want to hang out with my friends"

Me and Emmy snuck away to get our nails done

"sup"

Owen was so excited to fee Emily her bottle!

Kyle and Owen running through the fields during Ryan's baseball game :)

He pitches the same way every time. So calm and collected.
Tucker umpired and Emmy and Audrey manned first and second base. Haha

My little dude - he impresses me more and more each week.

William and Ryan - two peas in a pod

We've made so many friends through these sport team, sometimes it feels like we are building a family here in SD!

I mean how sweet is this?!

We Survived!

Josh just took his first international work trip - he was in Spain for 9 days - and we all survived! We tackled 2 soccer games, 2 baseball games, 3 gymnastics practices, 1 birthday party, 1 sleep over, 3 trips to vons, a trip to Costco, Owen's bi-annual cardiology appointment, a few high fevers, and helping Sadie recover from knee surgery! Oh and I worked all week ;p It is after weeks like those that I feel like I can tackle anything!
Josh had a fun but extremely tiring week so we were all so happy for him to be home!

Ryan's soccer game!

Poor Sadie tore her cruciate ligament in her knee and had surgery the day before Josh left. I picked her up Saturday night, she looked so sad :(

Owen had a fever Saturday night and actually fell asleep on me - it was amazing :)

Poor Sadie needs to be confined in an area for 8 weeks so she won't jump on any furniture or go up stairs. For the first few days I had to help her walk but no, two weeks out, she can hope around pretty good!

We played legos next to her :)

A little change of scenery

He now insists on wearing tall socks like "Ra ra" does

We actually had one moment of silence

Trying to give her some love

Another amazing outfit

I told him he could honk the horn ONE TIME ONLY! So he made it a good one - hahah

Emmy and her gymnastics team - her happy place

More soccer!

My new favorite hat from my friend/co-worker/fellow Clairemonster  Michelle :)

Our annual trip to the Spirit store!

Ice cream!

A little painting session out front

My beautiful girl :)

Meanwhile, Ry-guy was at the Aztecs football game! His buddy Brodie's dad is one of the coaches so they had awesome seats!
