October was a busy one with sports, school, friends and a LOT of Halloween parties and activities!
We kicked it off with a Jack Johnson concert!
Lots of flag football games
W visit from Napa and Papa!
Picture day!
Emmy went to multiple haunted houses and trails around San Diego with her friends
Me and Owen tagged along to the pumpkin patch with Emmy and her gymnastics friends
We carved more pumpkins than I could count because they all got moldy!
Gross!
Enjoyed scootering around the bay a few times
Weather has gone from cold to hot and cold again
Picking up Emmy from Gymnastics :)
Owen's first trunk or treat at Spreckels!
Ryan and Zach got the same costume - light up stick figures it was so cool!
Brubakers annual Claire-monster parade! If you watched the Padres Dodgers game when they were in LA you would know who the goose was - it became a mascot in SD!
He didn't intentionally dress like Clevenger but they looked identical. Ha!
We could buy Owen every costume in the world and all he wants to be in a Padres player.
Our friend Brian and the kid's friend Alex really went all out this year - it was hilarious!
All the boys - the older girls are too busy. Sniff. sniff. And I met some friends for dinner so didn't dress up and bailed early ;)
It was Owen's show and tell day and he brought his baseball from the Bluejays game and wore his jersey. We practiced what he was going to say - it was the sweetest!
And he was super star this month so was honored at the assembly for showing respect
We celebrated with in and out :)
Sadie - always making herself at home. She moved those pillows around herself
Pumpkin carving at the Preston's house!
Last flag football game of the season! Ryan caught and threw a touchdown!
Yes, Owen wore and headband and an arm sleeve to his soccer game.
Toast
And toast
They slept for hours!
Guess who started playing an instrument?! Its a good thing I can't figure out how to get videos on the blog anymore. Ahahaha
Made us all breakfast one morning
They are always right next to each other, literally.
Took advantage of a little sunshine and hit up the beach for acai bowls
I snuck in this pic after I dropped them off at running club one morning.
And then surprised Owen to help with a Halloween project in this class
FINALLY - Halloween!
Emmy and her friends dressed up like the whinny the poo charaters. I loved it! Dodged a "sexy" costumer another year :)
I think this was half the group of hoodlums who ran around the UC neighborhood.
Meanwhile at the Lawrence house we had a mellow Halloween, just the 4 of us. Ryan's request :)
Killer sunset that night!
We actually brought Sadie with us and it was a super quiet night
His costume was so cool but the thing stopped working 10 minutes after we left the house. Poor kid.
But we still got plenty of candy! So now we fight with everyone everyday about how many pieces of candy they can eat. Aye. Until next year!
