Double Digit Birthday Celebrations

Last week we celebrated Ryan all week! To celebrate him turning double digits, he was given the choice of how he wanted to celebrate, and he chose BASEBALL! Josh took Ryan to TWO baseball games - a night game, stay overnight downtown and then a day baseball game. They arrived at the game 2 hours early each time and successfully got some balls :)

SWEET seats!

If you look closely - you can see these cool cats standing above the dugout.

The arrived home and we kicked off the celebration his birthday-eve.

Spoiled rotten by everyone who loves him :)

Then down to the beach to celebrate with all his friends!

Of course, playing baseball

Owen is going to be well-taken care of by all these boys when he starts school in 2 weeks!

A little beach-side football during sunset - magical!

Happy 10th Birthday Ryan!

Ryan is TEN! How did that happen?! I have to admit, sometimes I forgot he was only 9. All of his friends are almost a whole year older so we’ve been going to double-digit parties all year. And Ryan is so mature for his age, that he comes across as years wiser than many who are older than him. We continuously hear from teachers, coaches and parents how happy, well-mannered, responsible, focused, and well-behaved he is and describe him as a “silent leader.” We could not be more proud! I just know he will always be sweet, sensitive, strong, smart, and kind and I cannot wait to see what he brings to the world. Love you more than anything in the world!

Toronto 2022 - Part 2

It is amazing how fast time flies, especially when you are having so much fun with family. We ended the trip strong - quite literally - Ryan and I attempted to walk up all 57 flights of stairs in the building where we were staying. Ha! Let's say we took the elevator a good few flights ;)

A nice pre-stretch - safety first!

It wouldn't be a trip to Toronto without a visit to the top of the CN tower :)

A lego version!

Top of the tower!

Beautiful city!

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of all of us hanging around the pool - including Carol, Debbie and Richard! But that afternoon was the best. As we all chatted, and drank bloody caesars while we talked about what rule followers we all are. The word "Sasquash!" will never mean the same again. Ha!

We all showered up again and headed to a final family dinner.
On the subway!

She went a whole week without gymnastics to couldn't resist the bars!

To say this was one of the best trips we've taken would be an understatement. The city, the fun memories with my entire family was magical. Many tears were shed when we left and the kids (especially Owen) talk about going back all the time. So grateful for that time together and can't wait to all reunite again SOON!

The day after we arrived home I found this on our neighbors lawn :)
