Ryan knew that moving to the Tecolote baseball league this past year would be hard and competitive. Honestly, we weren't sure how he would compare to others and what his chances were for making the all star team. Well, no surprise to us, he was selected to join the Tec Blue 10u all start team! Woohoo! And wow, was it an experience. Over the course of about 6 weeks he played 20 games and had 14 practices! And that did not include any team parties, etc. He was playing baseball 5-6 days a week and loving every second so we had just as much fun. He played in Chula Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Ramona, La Jolla, etc., so we got to see a lot of San Diego :) He played awesome and deemed the "silent leader" and made some great friends along the way.
Teams were formed so quickly they played their first tournament without jerseys
They were like the sandlot kids with all mix matched uniforms
Won their bracket! And Ryan got his first tournament ring and was name MVP of the tournament!!! He pitched like a boss, dove for balls and hit like a mad man.
His buddy Thomas played on a different all star team so they got to plat against each other 3 times!
Supporting big bro in Escondido when it was 95 degrees
Pure joy
Life of a little brother
A little mini putting after practice one night
My handsome boy...
Who still likes to give me hugs - I never want to let go
Ryan's favorite thing to do is head first slide. He slide 4 times during one at bat. Ha!
After the lost to be eliminated from the regional tournament. I think the parents were the only ones who were sad!
Right when the season came to and end, Ryan started 2 weeks of baseball camp at UCSD - let the baseball continue!
