Christmas 2021 - part 1

I love Christmas! And every year I try enjoy the whole season and every year it flies by so fast its over before I know it. And then it is almost the third week of January and I am finally sitting down to reflect and recap the holidays!

We were alone this year which is always a little bit sad but I am so grateful for our party of 6 (including Sadie) and the traditions we've started and the chaos we make. The kids had 2 weeks off school and I Josh and I had quite a bit of time off too - amazing! Except that it rained the whole time and there wasn't an Airbnb in the state of CA to rent for under $1200 a night so we hunkered down at the Lawrence house. It took a few days to settle in but then I completely embraced the laziness.- it was awesome :)

We did keep our selves busy with different holiday outings and activities so here goes...

Ryan kicked the season off with a new exercise routine

My shopping side kick - no he did not have baseball, he wears his uniform every day

Our gingerbread building tradition!

The cutest!

We bought tickets to a drive through light show - it was eh - but gave us something to do while Emmy was at a Christmas party

We played poker at the Conkins and Emmy and Riley won the whole pot! They had quite the poker face strategy

Owen Santa at school. His Xmas sweater paired with his while baseball pants really rounded out the picture this year. HA!

The kids and I went ice skating one day and had a blast! It took Owen a while to get warmed up and then he didn't want to leave! Ice skating in Southern California is crazy and dangerous! No one knows how to skate so you spend a decent amount of time dodging flailing people.

More forced family fun - cookie decorating!

Sadie wasn't amused

A pinata gram from Julie and Dan! More sugar! :)

We switched it up this year for Christmas Eve dinner

A little Facetime session with Marc and Kristen who upped their coolness with a new filter
