Emmy

is amazing! She is so happy these days and smart, strong, adventurous, confident and funny and making a lot of new friends and growing up so fast. I am having so much fun with her these days. She is such a tom boy but still has a girly side. For example, I caught her trying to scale a palm tree in our backyard wearing her converse and a pretty dress. She also put on lip stick (actually red marker) before dinner the other night and walked out as it we would not notice. Ha! She is making a lot of new friends at school (There are a ton of new girls who just moved to her school) and appears to be taking a leader roll, sticking up for friends and introducing them all around. She earned the most amount of points in her class for good behavior so gets to eat lunch with her teacher this week. (Josh's response was that is a reward?!) She has been a very good big sister to Ryan working on his letters with him. She is now taking gymnastics 2 days a week because she loves it so much. She is ALWAYS doing hand stands! She used to be very shy starting a new class where she didn't know anyone and now she jumps right in. She eats like a CHAMP sometimes it amazes me how much she can eat (I am trying to teach her about healthy choices) she is growing so fast and is so tall! Her newest obsession is the food channel. She watches it all the time and especially likes cake boss, chopped junior and all the halloween wars shows. Her and Riley are taking a cupcake decorating class on Saturday, she is so excited!

I felt the need to brag a little bit - she is truly amazing, everything I would want her to be and more - SO HAPPY!

She is constantly doing handstands. She must do a hundred a day - no joke. She does them up against the couch to see how long she can hold it.

All her practicing has paid off. She can now do a kick over. And the scenery isn't too shabby either :)

Yesterday she made us dessert. Chopped away for an hour. She called it her sailboat dessert (?) which included chopped up raspberries, strawberries, bell peppers, walnuts and chocolate chips garnished with cilantro. It actually wasn't too bad. Ryan yelled this is gross!

Doesn't everyone cook in their undies?

The final product.

We had some extra time this morning and when I came downstairs she was doing a cross word puzzle :)

I love her so much.

  1. You guys are such great parents, it's no surprise she is doing so well and becoming quite an impressive young lady. We loved spending time with you guys this year. We have to do it again soon! Maybe we could talk Gavin into coming down there too.
