Ryan is already 6 weeks old! We had a few good days this week so I am hoping we've turned a corner :) For all of you who have listened to my frustrations, offered advice, etc. - thank you! Ryan is still the gassiest kid I have ever come across but thanks to our hair dryer and hair dryer app on our phones (thank you to whoever created it - you have SAVED us on many occasions) the screaming has decreased.
He really is the cutest, chubbiest little guy who already loves his sister. He started smiling at 5 weeks and smiles a lot and has rally started "talking" and cooing. He is either crying or smiling - go figure. You can tell he is really trying to just say "hi". He has this sideways cheesey smile that makes you just laugh regardless of how tired you may be. He is always smiling at Emmy it is the cutest thing ever. Of course it is impossible to capture on camera. He also is absolutely determined to find and suck his thumb all the time. I think he must have sucked it a lot in my tummy because it is as if it is his mission in life so far to find it and suck it. I have helped him keep it in his mouth a few times by propping up his arm with burp clothes. This morning he slept next to us in this new hammock thing I bought. I slept holding his arm so it wouldn't fall out of his mouth because when it did he screamed the loudest scream you have ever heard. The kid sure knows what he wants!
