**Warning, detailed potty stories to come**
Emmy going on the potty is bitter sweet. The thought of our little girl growing up is exciting but sad, knowing she is no longer a baby.... And we've traded in dirty diapers for a poop filled potty....
Emmy will only go on the little potty that has the removable pot, not the special seat that sits on the regular toilet. This means that every time she goes we have to dump it out which can be a struggle as she tries to do it herself. I've found myself in a few struggles as she tried to pull a pot full of pee out of my hands...
Moving onto #2. I am not sure what is worse, changing a poppy diaper or dumping a load into the toilet. Let's just say the ladder is not so easy... The bathroom we keep the potty in is like 2 feet by 2 feet so picture me trying to wipe Emmy's bum, pull up her undies, dump the poop into the toilet, all while trying not to breath out of my nose and hit my head on the toilet. 9 times our of ten you can't just simply "dump it" so I find myself slightly panicked as I figure out how to clean the pot without having to disinfect the whole bathroom. So much more complicated than simply changing a diaper, especially when Emmy forgot she had undies on and had her first #2 accident....
The joys of motherhood, would not trade them for anything :)
ewwwww! I hated that part of the potty seat too. Thankfully I fooled Kailyn into thinking a seat on the real toilet was extra super special big girl and she would sit on that. With Lane, we skipped the little potty altogether.
