Nana and Papa

My parents came down to visit this past weekend. My mom came down to help look after Emmy a few days because I was swamped at work and Emmy caught Roseola from daycare. Fortunately, she got a very mild case, light rash and no fever. Anyway, we had lots of fun. To say Emmy is infatuated with my mom is an understatement. She would not let my mom leave her side, they did everything together. The minute she woke up in the morning or from a nap she was asking for "nana". When my dad arrived a few days later she was very happy to see her "papa" but still would not leave my mom's side. You cannot put into words what it was like to watch her stare at my mom in complete amazement. You could see in her eyes just how much she loves and adores my mom. I know my mom is tearing up reading this right now.... They both had a tough time saying goodbye. Emmy looked for my mom and dad everywhere this morning, it was so sad to have to tell her they went home. Good thing we are going to see them again in less than a month :) AND my parents rescued a lab this weekend, Lucy. Isn't she sweet?! I can't wait to meet her and introduce her to Emmy!
