Weekend Highlights

Looks of physical activity going on last weekend!

Friday started with Ryan's ancestor presentations at school and day of the dead performance .Followed by Spreckels annual jog-a-thon!

He did his project on great-grandma Donna Thayer who had 13 grandkids and 14 great-grandkids and was married for 59 years! She also graduated from college when she was in her 60s (which is think is super bad-ass) and she worked at a newspaper and in advertising when she was young, we used to share stories :)

Last Spreckels jog-a-thon for this girl! (sniff, sniff)

Ryan's teacher is a character and they did some amazing stretching!

Most...awkward...picture..EVER! We will have to show Ryan and Greyson this pic at graduation one day. Ahahahah

Emmy literally crashed after the jog-a-thon and 3 hours of gymnastics

Saturday Ryan had a mini soccer tournament so he played 3 30 minute games.

Emmy went to a birthday party with all her gymnastics buddies t the beach. Lucky girl!

A little grocery trip with my buddy

Sunday was Ryan's baseball game. He is really feeling comfortable at the pitchers mound now. Ha! And I finally was able to capture a slide to home on video

Owen played on the skateboard that morning so insisted on bringing it to the game. So of course I loaded my car up with all of them! Not sure I was the most popular parent at that game but at least no one got hurt! :)

Last night Owen had a multi-cultural party at his school. The poor kid always gets the shaft these days so I made sure I watched the parade and hung around for a few snacks. His class represented the US and focused on Illinois. Hahaha.

Auntie Julie and Uncle Dan!

Last weekend Julie and Dan came to visit! We had a blast not only seeing them but giving Dan his first tour around SD! I feel like we covered some serious ground around PB and La Jolla in between soccer and baseball games. Josh and Dan were also able to golf one morning. It was a great weekend,

We definitely rubbed the weather in - these two got snow in Denver last week!

She's found a buddy who is up for eating as much as her :)

With the time change, it was about 9a in the morning and everyone was already "bored" so we headed to open gym at G3 in PB

Emmy got a little practice in!

Annual Claire-monster Halloween Parade

Last weekend was the Brubaker's annual Claire-monster parade! It has grown over the past 6 years from 30 to 200 neighbors. They really area amazing for hosting it every year and they always make a grand entrance :)  The kids have a blast and it is especially great for Owen who can trick or treat when it is light out :) The Brubakers really stepped it up this year too, with a taco truck and activities like bobbing for apples.
We stuck to our sports theme and dressed up like Lakers players and fans (me and Emmy always get the easy costume - Ha!). It was a hit, especially Owen :)

We arrived early so Owen got to play before all the crowd came.

The grand entrance. Ahahaha

It took Ryan a while, probably because he is missing so many teeth! But finally got one.

Emmy had so much fun, she asked if we could bob for apples at home the next day!

Weekend Fun

It sure was nice to have Josh back this weekend! Our days were full of Halloween celebrations, soccer, baseball and spring cleaning. The house is almost done - lots of pictures to come!

My boys :)

Trunk or treat at school!

"mom - i just want to hang out with my friends"

Me and Emmy snuck away to get our nails done

"sup"

Owen was so excited to fee Emily her bottle!

Kyle and Owen running through the fields during Ryan's baseball game :)

He pitches the same way every time. So calm and collected.
Tucker umpired and Emmy and Audrey manned first and second base. Haha

My little dude - he impresses me more and more each week.

William and Ryan - two peas in a pod

We've made so many friends through these sport team, sometimes it feels like we are building a family here in SD!

I mean how sweet is this?!
