Boys weekend

I think the boys also had a blast last weekend! Josh took them both golfing and to the airplane museum - such a good daddy :)

Emmy's Special Birthday Trip

I think it was about 2 years ago when Emmy and I started talking about going to San Francisco for her 10th birthday and last weekend that trip was already here! I knew it would be fun to take a girls trip just the 2 of us, but the trip far exceeded my expectations. We had the best weekend ever! We walked, shopped, ate junk food, laughed, slept in and did whatever we wanted. I think it was the most special time I've ever had with her and while it is hard to think about her getting older, it was a cool glimpse into what the next stage will be like :) She just kept saying "I love you, Mommy" and "this is so fun!", it was exactly what I was hoping for and more.

Getting ready to take off!

We took BART into the city. We only took it 4 stops in the wrong direction. HA!

One of the views from our room

We reenacted this pose from a pic we have framed in our living room from our girls trip to Chicago!

We decided to take the cable car to Fisherman's Wharf on Friday night. We didn't realize how lucky we were to not have a line!

We also forgot umbrellas!

Emmy's favorite part of the weekend is going to Alcatraz - it was so fun!

Hard to see but there was a rainbow behind us :)

We did the audio tour - it was super cool

Then we rented scooters!

And ate a ton of candy. We found this one place that had giant gummy candy.

Cable car ride #2 - after waiting a whole hour we were finally first in line!

Second trip to the candy store. ha! When you check out they say "Have a sweet day!" we both kept cracking up

The we walked to Ghiradelli Square and then to the Marina District to see the golden gate bridge

Then we walked back to the cable car stop. 7 miles that day!

Up hill!

What We've Been Up To

Our days are full of sports these days - basketball, softball, gymnastics and starting next week - baseball! We've exceeded my 2 sports at a time rule with Emmy so for 6 weeks we have 3 which is a bit too much for me but she's happy so that's all that matters.

We did get a nice weekend visit with Jill and Craig! And we squeezed in some other fun stuff along the way. I just keep reminding myself its a marathon, not a sprint, so settle in and embrace the chaos because it isn't going anywhere anytime soon!

Another Christmas! The kids got spoiled with so many cool presents!

Owen runs on the court every chance he gets

Ryan's basketball team got to play during half time at a USD game! Both William and Ryan scored a basket on the 10' rims which apparently had never been done in the years they've been invited to play. Go boys!

One of my favorite pics of all time. Ha!

Josh and Craig on the roof pondering our future remodel :)

Owen loves to be helpful. He and Craig set them table every night :)

More basketball!

When you guard your best friend you try to hold in your giggles

Dinner for 12! 4 adults, 8 kids was unexpectedly successful!

A glimpse of O-man at dinner. MONTER

Everyone else wears Masters Sports t-shirts, why can't I?

5P Friday nigh basketball game for Emmy, followed by a 9a basketball game for Ryan, followed by 10a softball assessments for Emmy, followed by 1:30p gymnastics clinic. That's a lot of sports in 24 hours!

These 4 amigos do everything together and are all on the same softball team! Which means lots of happy hours for the parents :)

GOOD NIGHT!

His favorite present from Grandma and Grandpa. He calls it his "ipad"

You'd think he was emailing his buddies or watching a YouTube video by the way he holds the thing.

Brunch date with these two

They baked banana bread aka "nana bread" all by themselves! They forgot the cinnamon and I am pretty sure they put in too much salt but they loved it so that's all that matters :)
They had a blast baking until I told them they also had to clean it up;)
