Emmy officially completed her first softball season! I am so proud of her for trying something new, trying hard, making some friends and staying committed. She did great for her first her first time playing! Practices every Friday, games every Saturday (pitched almost all of them) and batting practice Sunday. It'll be nice to have a bit of a break ;)
Last weekend was softball night at the Padres so her and the team got to go on the field. So fun! She had her last game on Saturday along with closing ceremonies. Congrats Emmy!
Even Sadie got to come to some games.
Looking so official with her face mask. Ha!
I am going to miss these Saturday mornings! Good thing Ryan still has 6 weeks of baseball :)
The vacation continued! We headed south to Wailea to stay at the Marriott for Mark Thiels wedding. Another super cool hotel that was perfect for kids. Probably the last time all of us can fit into one hotel room ;) Unfortunately, we got rained on. A lot. But the kids could have cared a less since they were in the pool anyway!
They had a huge water slide! I
And more turtles for Owen
Living the dream
Mornings coffee :)
Another amazing view!
These two are the sweetest :)
He was so tired he fell asleep wet on Josh's shoulder and chilled while Josh watched golf with Jamie
Everyone loved the slides!
Even in the rain
And especially Owen!
Lots of cool pools! I ain't going to lie, the adult pool sure looked nice. Ha! Maybe one day we will make it without kiddos
The kids had a blast with Eva
I didn't end of going to the wedding for logistical reasons with 3 kids and Bella stayed back with me too so we all hung out and went to the fancy restaurant at the hotel. I may have scared her with my 3 kids. haha. They had an awesome game room with every board game you could imagine, video games, pool. etc.
Meanwhile the boys were hanging at the wedding
The whole crew golfing on Friday
On our last night there was a beautiful sunset. I love Maui! Until we meet again....
After the first hotel, we checked into a condo in Kihei. It is a quieter little town with uninhabited beaches which I loved. The condo was perfect. Tons of grass between us and the beach and a pool! We got a few days of rain, quite a bit of wind but also some sunshine. So basically tropical weather ;) We hit up the aquarium, some different beaches, the pool and a plantation. We ate, drank, and went to bed super early!
Our home for 6 nights
Oh to have a backyard this big. The beach is just on the other side of those trees
This was the stormiest day we had in Kihei
Fortunately he learned pretty quickly that sand does not taste good. Ha!
Super cool aquarium!
O-man loved it
One of my favorite pics :)
Next day - SUN!
They'd did a hole and he would climb in it
This guy is a sand MONSTER
Even the cold shower didn't phase him
We ate at one restaurant Nalu's a few times. There were wild chickens everywhere but this morning there were families of them and a rooster. Owen went crazy every time he saw one
Feeding ducks at the plantation
We took a bus tour of the plantation, learned about trees and how to open a coconut. To my surprise the kids were fascinated! And then we got rained on again :)
My favorite part of the trip was hanging at the quiet beach at our condo.
We could not keep this guy out of the water!
Those two very small black dots are Emmy and Josh!
We ate every meal out here
Emmy looking for coral
We saw some cool stuff on the beach! This was the kids favorite
Lots of exploring
We drove to this cute town Paia one day and found this gem of a beach! I have more pics on my camera that I have to load onto my computer. It was beautiful!
