First day of school 2017

I am a little last posting this but better late than never!

Well, the day finally came - Emmy and Ryan are at the same school! And now that Owen is at a daycare near our house the drop off and pick-up routine has gotten so much easier :)

I wasn't sure how Ryan would be. He knows a good handful of kids, two of which are in his class and one of them is Reese! He seemed excited, especially the morning of. He was so good so brave, lined up and started to walk in and then it came. All the tears he'd been holding back :( He cried the whole first week and a few days into the other. But I am happy and proud to say as of this week he is no longer crying. Wahoo! Not sure if he has made any good buddies yet but he sees a lot of boys from tee ball which is awesome and he knows Reese so well, she even calls him Buddy in the classroom :) She actually didn't know he name was actually Ryan until before school started. Ha!

Emmy, well she ran off, didn't want to say bye and can't wait to get to school everyday. She's in a 3/4 split with Riley and Luci but continues to meet/make new friends. She's met a new girl from Maui, Denmark and Serbia. I love seeing how out going and confident she's become and how much she loves to learn.

This pretty much sums Emmy up in a nutshell these days

Thank you, Erin, for always being so organized with a sign :) Fourth year we've taken a first day of school picture with these two!

Weekend fun

Our weekends are even more jam packed than before! They are full of Friday night park nights, gymnastics, grocery shopping, board games, and outings. We've had the funkiest weather this last month - lots of gloom and even some rain - so we are missing the beach!

Who knew the grocery store could be so much fun?!

One afternoon we hit up the trampoline park and Josh came with us for the first time. I think i know where Emmy got her gymnastics skills from...

A successful dinner out at the new cutwater restaurant!

Mini putting in Del Mar!

I braved the c-mont community pool alone. The kids had a blast swimming including Owen

Not exactly Nanas house but it cooled us off

Always smiling :)

We've been painting up a storm

We made homemade play dough using the recipe mom my used to make us when we were young. Brought back memories.

We've been playing a lot of memory games. Emmy and Ryan kick my butt every time

He's starting to really dig the swing but always has one foot up. Haha

Very entertained watching Emmy

She is crazy strong!

Friday night at the park is still going strong and more and more families are coming. SO FUN!

To end the summer, Buddy's last day at Baldwin. The end of an era. We've been dropping kids off there for over 8 years! Sniff, sniff.

Happy 65th!

We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate my mom's birthday with her in San Diego! And my dad made it down too! I took the day off of work and we had a blast despite the fact that the sun never came out. We headed to Seaport Village, cruised around, ate, drank and laughed. Hope she had as much fun as we did :)

Owen and Lucy-Lou

It's been a while...

The last few weeks have flown by. I've been working, Josh has been traveling, summer came to an end and school started and the Lawrence house is in complete chaos on any given day of the week! We're all surviving and still managing to have some fun :) Some random pics from the last few weeks.

So HANDSOME!

HANDSOME #1!

I can't get enough of this chubby bundle of smiles :)

Park days are still fun for all :)

Feed Me

We started feeding Owen solids a few weeks ago. You'd think given his size and the fact he isn't really drinking a bottle at daycare that he'd gobble it up. Not so much. But we are working on it everyday. So far I've made carrots, sweet potatoes, apples and peas. I wouldn't say he's loved any of them yet... He is one of the most uncoordinated eaters who makes the funniest faces, he cracks up his teachers at daycare :)
