Ryan's Birthday Weekend - Part 1

We started celebrating Ryan's birthday early with my parents this weekend! Josh had to go out of town for work so my parents came down to hang out and celebrate big boy turning two.  They spoiled him with fun presents and we had lots of fun eating, playing and hanging at the beach!

Camp Marc

It has been a long, very busy week so I am just now getting around to posting pics from Marc's trip to San Diego!  As always, we had a blast! Ryan has still woken up a few mornings looking for "unamarc".  Marc was really excited to keep both kids home for a day.  By himself.  I warned him it isn't always easy but he was not only excited but prepared.  "Camp Marc" had many activities planned including eating, water fun, arts and crafts and a scavenger hunt!  The brother who has no kids of his own made me feel like a pretty boring, unimaginative parent!  He did great and even figured out how to change a poopy diaper with no direction (oops, probably should have showed him how before leaving for work!).  As you can imagine, it was really hard to say good bye :(

Scavenger hunt!  I must explain Emmy's nakedness is recent photos.  I guess I am just used to it by now.  It has been hot and humid so she started laying naked on the couch to cool off.  Well, now she just likes to be naked. Oh Emmy...

We decided to hack down all our bushes in the back!  Marc didn't know what he was getting himself into.  Emmy is so damn strong!

 

We took Ryan to his first movie!  Very seriously watching planes while drinking a slurpee.

Weekend in the Water!

Last weekend we headed up to Westlake to hang out with Marc and float in the pool.  Emmy logged a solid 8 hours per day, she was in the pool by 9am Saturday morning! She and Marc played for hours diving for things, doing cannon balls and jumping in the pool with their clothes on.  By Sunday Ryan was just there with them.  We had so much fun! Emmy also lost her second tooth!  I think they are still recovering :)

Next up - the circus

Marc is going camping next week so set-up his tent.  We couldn't quite convince the kids to sleep in there.
