3 Day Weekends are the BEST!

 

 

Is it the end of the weekend already?

The weekends just keep flying by.  Two days is just not enough time at home...  We had a busy but fun weekend of going to swim class, meeting Peter and Gretchen at the Wild Animal Park, going to the park, playing in the pool, doing a little spring cleaning, washing all the windows and screens in the house and even taking a little nap!

Week in Review

 We have had a busy week!  Grandma and Grandpa came to visit Emmy this week and they had a blast together.  They played all day everyday!  I had to work so was not around to take the usual pictures that I do but at least we got a few.

 We finally had some sunshine this weekend so we pulled out all the backyard water toys.  Finn and Sophia cruised over to play as well.

Jill bought Emmy the coolest play toy for the sprinkler.  An elephant that has a 12+ foot long trunk that sprays water.  Of course Emmy loved it and tried to drink from it as usual.

 

 

Happy Mothers Day!  I had the best day ever because we just hung out and did nothing :)  The weeks are so crazy and I have just been exhausted so to be able to just sit was amazing.

 Looks like Emmy was as tired as I was!  We were laying on the grass together and she fell asleep and proceeded to sleep for 3 hours!  She has not slept that long in I can't remember how long!  Hopefully we'll now all be rested to tackle the week.....

We had another busy weekend!  Emmy got to spend lots of time with her friends.  We went over to Mark and Anna's on Saturday for a BBQ so she got to see her buddies Finn and Ava.  Her and Ava played together for hours.  It was a real glimpse of what they will be like as they get even older.  Following each other around, playing dress-up, etc., all on their own!  It was kinda nice, the adults actually got to hang out! :) AND Ava is going to be a big sister soon too!

 This morning we headed to a princess birthday party for another one of her friends from school.  She has so many friends it amazes me.  The girls all get along so well, it is so fun to watch. 

 Can you say 3 going on 13??  Someone yelled smile for the picture and they all put their arms around each other.

 They all eat lunch together like this every day at school.  No wonder she loves going and seeing them so much!

 

Beach Day!

Finally some sunshine and a warm day so we had to head down to the beach.  Emmy is such a beach bum, jumped into the water right away, rolled around in the sand, made new friends, etc.  She got knocked over pretty hard by a wave.  Josh grabbed her and I ran down to make sure she was okay.  She told me she hurt her pinky finger so I kissed it and she ran back.  FEARLESS.  We had so much fun, especially her, makes me so excited for the summer!

 Josh taught Emmy how to throw a football and she can catch it too.  Baby brother is going to have some big shoes to fill!

The Robins

Emmy moved up to the "Robins" a few months ago and could not be more proud to be such a big girl.  Last week was their open house and she had her first performance!  It was so cute.  The teachers sent home the lyrics to the song and words to the story a few weeks ago for them to practice.  She memorized it all!  We all brought food for them to eat and they had ice cream as a treat afterward.  I just love watching her with all her friends.  They are growing up so fast and you can see how friendships are formed so early, especially when they've know each other since birth!


Sort of hard to hear but I was able to catch her "big moment", holding up the goldfish during that part of "Brown Bear".

She has her first dance recital with her buddies in June and I cannot wait!  Her dressed up in a tutu with all her friends is going to be so cute.  It is quite the production, dress rehearsals and all!  Stay tuned...
