Ryan has had a busy start to the year as well! He LOVED playing basketball this year and really shined all season long. Now that the boys are older the games are really close and super exciting to watch! He played with Alex and Graham which was fun because we had friends to watch with and Owen had friends to play with :)

Back on the baseball diamond! Season just started but Ryan started practicing in January!

They always find time to squeeze in some video game playing - they are always RIGHT next to each other. I love it :)

Greyson's gel tag party - who knew there was such a thing?!

This photo right here does not do the moment justice - this kid just hit his first OUT OF THE PARK HOME RUN!!! What a baller.

Last super star assembly at Spreckels (sniff, sniff). It was moved to the classroom because it was hailing outside!

Honored for perseverance

Handsome for picture day!

This week Ryan went to Biz Town with his 5th grade class! He was so excited. He was CFO of Mission Federal Bank so insisted on wearing his suit :)

Working hard at Biz Town! I volunteered and was assigned to the business next door so I could spy on him.

Lunch with his boys - they all looked so handsome! Such a fun day.

What Owen's been up to

We had a very busy start to the new year - Time flies when you are having fun!

Owen played his first season of basketball! He played in the 1st and 2nd grade league with his buddy Kyle and our friend Joe was his coach. He LOVED it! Other than the fact that he was 6 inches shorter than most kids, you would've never known that he was 2 years younger - he hustled, yelled, blocked and made multiple baskets throughout the season! No surprise, everyone loved watching him :)

Wearing his Kobe Bryant socks

He can jump!

And run!

And shoot!

One of the best things about being on coach Joe's team is that every year he arranges for the kids to play at the USD game during half time!

Owie - running down the middle making his college court debut!

It is always so fun :)

Despite all the sports, we were even able to squeeze in a few bday parties. One was at built a bear! Everyone dressed their bears like pokeman and star wars and Owen dressed a monkey in a suit. Haha

A little gymnastics on a rainy Sunday morning

I try and do at least one field trip a year for each kid so I went on the trip to the aquarium.

Lunch with my sweet boy!

Not a shabby field trip!

Valentines Day performance at school!

Now... onto baseball season!

Watching Ryan's game in the rain

Opening day for the boys!

First year hitting off the pitching machine and he hit it both times up to bat!

Tired boy

I got to visit Owen's class and read the books him and his class wrote. No surprise  his book was about baseball :)

The we had lunch!

A little pre-birthday trip to Rock and Jump with his buddy Jackson (us any everyone else in SD! So we spent more time playing games than jumping)

Owen is 6!

Owen is SIX! And he remains the sweetest little guy in town. He is so full of life and fun! He’s confident, coordinated, smart, athletic, and friendly to all. Yet, he still loves to snuggle all the time ðŸ˜Š We didn’t plan a big party with his friends this year, but he was equally as happy and excited about time with the family mini putting, baking and eating cake and getting dinner and In and Out! We all love you so much, Owie, please don’t ever change!!

Emmy is 14!

Happiest birthday to my AMAZING 14 YEAR OLD! Time only continues to fly by faster so Emmy is growing up literally before our eyes and we could not be more proud of the person she is. Emmy is so smart – I mean crazy smart. She is killing it in all her advanced classes entirely on her own. I may not always agree with her work habits and environments but she is like a mad scientist – gets her things done her way and whatever she is doing is working! She’s so considerate and sensitive, always aware of other people’s feelings, and is very self-aware – those things just cannot be taught! And her strength and bravery will never cease to amaze me. What makes me the happiest about watching Emmy turn 14 is the friends who surround her. She’s got so many great friends at school and gymnastics, and it makes me happy knowing she is always surrounded by people who love her as much as we do 😊 Happiest birthday – I hope the upcoming year is as extraordinary as you are!
