Birthdays, jets, broken finger, Marc &Kristen, soccer and Seattle

It's been a busy month! So busy I can't even find time to post pics so here you go - some pics from the past month.

Emmy and Ryan were both selected as the first super stars of the year! They were picked because they show respect to teachers, friends, etc. So proud of these two :)

Happy birthday daddy! I hope the last year of your 30s is the best one yet!

18 month check up - Dude is still a bobble head. Big head, decent weight and short!

This girls is kicking ass and taking names. She had a hat trick last game, that I learned is 3 goals in a game. GO EMMY!

We watched the airshow at dinosaur park in UC where Ryan plays soccer. Awesome view and there were tons of families!

Emmy hanging with one of her bestest buds Tucker. Their friendship is the sweetest ever. They were in the same kindergarten class, he is about a head taller than Emmy and when anyone teases them and calls them boyfriend and girlfriend Emmy shoots back with all kinds of amazing responses like "You are just jealous he isn't friends with you". That's my girl - she's the BEST

I've always said I hate Tuesdays (you expect Monday to suck but Tuesday is still soooo far from Friday) but this one was especially brutal as I literally got my finger stuck in the panels of the garage door. All of the kids were in the car ans as I was screaming help at the top of my lungs I quickly learned that Emmy can keep her cool in emergency situations. I also learned that a tuft fracture hurts like hell, there is nothing you can do and it takes about 2 months to heal. In the meantime, I have learned to do everything with my pointer and ring finger.

Uncle Marc and Kristen were in town. Wahooo!
Who knew Marc has such amazing goalie skills?

Soccer practice!

This is what Owen does during soccer games - pretty much just makes a mess.

I went to Seattle! And it was AMAZING! I went for a conference for work so it was busy but I was able to sneak out for a few hours and slept in a hotel room ALONE. Although, as excited as I was to eat dinner alone after about 5 mins I met up with a co-worker who had also left his 3 kids. I guess silence is more lonely than I thought. Ha!

The pop culture museum was super cool.

Fall in Seattle! So pretty.

Glass museum - beautiful!

I received about 5 emails a day like the ones below. Melt my heart.

This guy could not be any cuter these days. I just want to bottle up his sweetness.

And this monster could not be more full of personality

Case in point  - he bee lined it to the goal. During the game. A friend took this as I was grabbing him out as the teams approached to score a goal. Oh Owen....

Busy weekend

We had a fun but busy weekend. Aren't they all?! A few soccer games, house cleaning, grocery shopping, walks with Sadie, making slime and a hair cut for Owie!

I cannot say enough how truly impressed I am with Emmy and her soccer skills! I thought she'd hate it and even she admitted she played so she could hang out with Riley. Well, to all of our surprise, not only does she love it, she's really good! I've never seen her hustle so fast, be so aggressive and committed. I am so unbelievably proud of her.

A family affair - even Sadie came to Ryan's game!

Owen thinks he is so cool at the top of the playground

Pre game pow wow

His laugh never gets old

We rode our bikes to CVS to buy ingredients to make slime. Emmy's been watching you tube videos so was armed with a list.

$40 later - we had ourselves a gigantic MESS. Emmy quickly learned science experiment #1 - no only do you need to know what ingredients you need, you also need to know measurements.

OMG.

Me and my littlest buddy

Handsome haircut!

Some pics

These past few weeks have been CRAZY busy! Between soccer, gymnastics, school, homework, work, house, etc., we've had every minute accounted for. Josh has been in napa all week and I successfully tackled 5 days alone - with no wine.

Some pics from the past few weeks.

We met the DeWinters at the park for movie night. So fun!

Its been hot so we pulled out all the water toys :)

Oh Emmy...

Fun for all! Ahahaha

This little dude is officially 18 months. A very bitter sweet day - no more baby.                          Boooo hooooo   sniff sniff

Ryan had Zachary's bday party one day after school. He had  BLAST!

Owen does everything the kids do now. And every time I tell him to say cheese he smiles. :)
Dinner on the couch - a special treat when daddy is out of town ;)

Emmy had to pick an instrument to play and she chose the Viola! We all had to go pick it up the other night. She's super excited. I hope she likes it!

I was quickly reminded that I was that asshole parent who continues to bring extra clothes to Owen's class. He was sent home in size 3 months pink pants that were slip up the side so his legs could fit. I loved how Kindercare is so boldly written on the bum, as if I might keep them? Ahahahah

The crew in the mornings.

Soccer Season!!

The kids started playing soccer this year. I knew Ryan would love it because he loves every sport, but I wasn't sure about Emmy. She hates running! To my surprise not only does Emmy love it, she's playing so well! She's running hard, being super aggressive and even scored a goal last weekend. I am so proud of her. Josh is coaching her team and is taking the role very seriously. He's mapped out drills for practices, positions for games, purchased all of the necessary gear and is in constant communication with parents. Ryan also scored a goal his first game and runs the ball down the field like a pro. Owen has been a trooped and even pushed his nap to 2p to watch two games the first weekend. I am so proud of everyone!!

Ry-guy is #8 on the right

Always charging!

Ahahaha

Emmy is #10 running the ball down the field

Coach Josh!

Emmy actually really like playing goalie too

Josh recruited Todd to be his assistant

Emmy right before she scored her first goal!

We took the girls and Ryan out to lunch last weekend and to UC yogurt after the games. So fun!
