Long Weekend

I love 3 day weekends! We had a busy but super fun weekend. My parents came down for a visit and to watch all kinds of sports Saturday morning. We even got out for happy hour with Anne and Noah and NO KIDS! We cruised around liberty station and the kids and I have an adventure on Monday. Back to work - Booooo

Emmy started playing softball this year for the first time. She's had a handful of practices and her first scrimmage game on Saturday. Since it as a long weekend half the team was gone. Which meant that she played pretty much every position - including pitcher! I was nervous for her, she's literally never pitched a ball - not even in practice. She did AMAZING! She had a great pitch, struck someone out and stood out there like she'd been doing it for years. She told me her legs were shaking the whole time she was so nervous. She also got a hit and made it to second base! I was so unbelievably proud of her :)

Then we headed over to the football field for Ryan's last football game. He had baseball practice before - the kid is a trooper and clearly loves sports. He was on fire, as always, and had a blast playing football this year. I am going to miss it, its been so exciting and I get to hang out with my friend Michelle every weekend.

Saturday night we met Anne and Noah for happy hour in PB. I was so nice to get out, without kids, and actually hang with friends! We will DEFINITELY be doing that again :)

We spent Sunday at liberty station - eating lunch, playing football, dancing to music. So fun.

Monday, me and the kids went to lunch, to a bakery for dessert and hot chocolate and took a trip to Kohls. (Not my choice - the kids begged me to go. Ha!). Phew. Busy day. Good thing they are so good :)

Watching practice with papa Friday night

Our last week in pictures

 Beautiful sunrise the other morning!

Our mornings are a zoo these days. Primarily because of this little monster who is in to EVERYTHING! I took these pictures within 5 minutes of each other. Its not wonder I look like such a disaster by the time I get to work. Ha!

Emmy was selected to read her opinion writing (why you should not litter) during the school assembly. Her and her 2 friends did great! They gather around this tree every Wednesday. Its super cool, really feels like a community.

Kit cat the mascot. They all chanted his name when he came out. Hilarious!

Pit stop after the dentist. No cavities! :)

Emmy had her first softball practice on Friday! She is on Luci and Audrey's team so she was super excited. I picked the girls up, along with their brothers (who happen to be Ryan's best buddies) and walked them all over to practice. So fun :)

Ryan is gearing up to play MAPS. A step up from t-ball. We had to buy all kinds of gear for the two of them. He insisted on the red helmet.

Emmy was just excited to wear hot picks socks :)

She had patting practice on Sunday. She hit a few balls before she headed over. She didn't do too bad for the first time with her new bat!

San Diego in February

Me and the boys hit up the park before the super bowl. A perfect long runway for Owen to crawl.

Poor Ryan ate shit on his razor scooter on the way home. When Emmy saw us walking she ran down and gave him a ride home. So sweet.

Time to get a gate for the stairs!

MVP

Ryan was on fire this morning at his football game! The kid was like an animal playing defense and scored 4 touch downs. He is so focused and determined, it is so fun to watch! He was given a metal for sportsmanship today. Only one person from each team received one. He didn't brag or show off, in fact he told me to put it in my bag and went to play with his friends. after the game ended. This kid just melts my heart every day.

Some action shots! Ryan is #10 with the black socks

Going after his Buddy Alex who was on the other team today. The usually tackle each other when they play for fun. The hugged each other after one of Ryan's long touch downs. So sweet! Love seeing him play with his buddies!

On his way for a touchdown!

New Camera!

I got a new camera for Christmas and i finally loaded some pictures onto my computer :) Hopefully some great pictures to come!
