Mother's Day Weekend 2017

We had a busy weekend that started out with a tee ball game. Only 1 more to go and the season is over - it went by so fast! Josh coached again and decided to pitch to the kids instead of using the tee. Pushing those kids already ;) They all did great and Ryan whacked a few really far! Al his practicing at home paid off and I am sure coach Daddy knew he would hit 'em hard :)

After the game, Emmy went to Riley's bday party all day and night (Erin was very brave) and Ryan went to Blake's house. You'd think Josh and i would take advantage of an afternoon with only one kids but we didn't know what to do with ourselves! Josh took a nap and I took a (very painful) 3 mile run.

Sunday we headed over to Balboa park for a picnic and ended with a "family party" as the kids like to call it. We had a great day. I love having everyone home on the weekends, it gets a little lonely sometimes during the week! I am one lucky lady to have 3 amazing kiddos and one furry one who call me mom :)

The night before Daddy got home. We miss you daddy!

Emmy absolutely adores Owen. She loves "chatting" with him in the mornings.

Can you believe these eye lashes! I only wish mine were this long.

Sadie went to camp for a few days. Sometimes I think we all need it. She sure is a handful these days...

Buddies.

I could eat those cheeks all day long...

Coach Josh!

I think Ryan has watched this video 50 times already. Ha!

Owen better get used to hanging out at sports games...

Emmy and all her buddies going to the movies. I can just see them as teenagers heading up to c-mont square together. I wish I could freeze time.

Picnic time!

Ryan partying it up with garnish in his lemonade and fancy finger nails :)

Uncle Marc!

Owen was finally able to meet Uncle Marc last week! Him and Kristen flew out for work/visit/wedding. Despite the cold/rainy/wintery weather, we had a blast. Kristen had a YBB (Yoga booty ballet) retreat she was leading in La Jolla for the weekend so I actually snuck away to take a class. The first time away from Owen. Everyone survived and I had a blast! Josh left for Vegas for the week on Monday so it was nice to have some extra hands - perfect timing! The kids, especially Ryan, were so excited for Marc to be here. He got to experience our crazy house everything from trips to swim, gymnastics and tee ball, crazy Sadie, hectic mornings and even Emmy stepping in poop (for the second time that week. ugh). Hope they had fun, we can't wait to have them back! :)

Playing that damn Vons monopoly game is so frustrating but killed like 2 hours ;)

It was FREEZING! Which is crazy since we were at the beach the weekend before.

Emmy caught onto chess really quickly. I think she even beat Marc!

Emmy's favorite jammies. She calls them his bro-ther PJs.

this face cracks me up

Marc read Owen a lot of books and he really loved them. Crazy to watch him looking at all the pages.

We were spoiled, Marc even cooked us dinner one night. Aunt Debbie's curry chicken. It was a hit!

Sadie and Owen looking equally uncomfortable with this situation...

Me, Marc and Owen went to western BBQ lunch at Emmy's school.

Until next time...

LOVE YOU UNCLE MARC!

Friday Night Lights!

Ryan had his first night tee ball game on Friday. SO FUN! I am really loving his games. There is nothing cuter than 4 and 5 year olds dressed in full uniforms playing baseball. Ryan is very serious about it. He gets very focused. And loves playing pitcher! He was pitcher the first inning, when his name was called he just "YES!" with a fist pump. They also had an announcer who called out the nicknames we gave them in advance. SO CUTE!

They were all so excited to play on the dirt field. Big time!

GO BUDDY BAROO!

Ryan played Audrey's brother William's team (who came over last weekend) so this time they knew each other. So funny to see them chatting on first base. Love it.

Only two more games left this season. He is going to be so bummed when its over!

First Week of May

The weeks are flying by these days! I wish they would slow down. We had another busy but good week. Owen and I ventured out for a hike, had another cardiology appointment (which went great!), got a little crafty, went to lunch with Daddy, went to family Friday at Emmy's school and went to Ryan's night tee ball game (see next post).

He's starting to chill out a little more in the stroller but would much rather be in the carrier

Walked a cloudy Torrey Pines on Tuesday. He screamed the whole way. Ugh.

Nothing like feeding a newborn on a rock along the path. Nature at its best ;)

 Bath time!

Emmy is convinced he is talking to her. It is so cute. It really sounds like they are having conversations.

I painted some letters for Owen's room. It was fun to get a little creative!

It was teacher appreciation week. The kids are given a list of what to bring in each day (which I think is ridiculous - 5 days, really?!). Friday was bring a fruit I thought a pineapple would be cool. Emmy immediately thought of making a spongebob because he lives in a pineapple. I mean who wouldn't think of that?! Haha. She drew this by memory (she LOVES spongebob) so rad.

They made bird feeders in class on Friday.
