It's beginning to look a lot like SUMMER!

It was 80 degrees and sunny all weekend long and now we all have summer fever :) We took advantage of every minute of it!

Friday
I took a successful grocery shop with this little guy staring at meet. Melts my heart

Then we took a trip over to the office. My friend Michelle got extra snuggles :)

Friday night we met a bunch of friends and neighbors at the park and had SO MUCH FUN! It just happens to be one of the only parks left in San Diego that you can still drink at. SCORE. It was so much fun to catch up with friends and meet new ones. Looking forward to this new summer tradition.

A big baseball game.

 View from the backyard.

This little guy has me up all night and then soundly sleeps from 6:30a onward...

Saturday
Starts off with tee-ball! I can't believe there are only 3 more games left. We've had so much fun this season.

She was just chilling holding his hand. So sweet. Then off to gymnastics!

Saturday afternoon Audrey and her brother William came over. We pulled out the slip and slide and they brought water balloons.

We also set-up a lemonade stand

They sure weren't working too hard ;)

A little sibling game of b-ball. I was impressed, they were all really good!

Sunday
BEACH DAY!

This little guy slept for like 5 hours. Maybe I should start camping at the beach at night so he'll sleep!

Emmy likes to call our afternoon family parties aka happy hour :)

Even little O parties!

All smiles!

Owen started to smile last week : I LOVE IT!

And he absolutely loves the bath. I swear he would hang out in there all night if we let him!

Our last Baldwin Open House

Last night was out last ever Baldwin Open House. Crazy! And very sad. We've been taking our kid there for 8 years now, they are like family. It is going to be very sad not to take Owen there and have him have the same experiences as Emmy and Ryan. BUT I will not miss fighting traffic in and out of PB every day and we will be home a whole lot earlier at the end of the day. Hopefully the switch will be worth it... In the meantime, Ryan is having fun with his buddies. He's known them all since he was 4 months old. It breaks me heart (again) to know he won't be going off to kindergarten with them next year :(

11 Glorious Years

Saturday was Josh and my 11th anniversary. Crazy! I feel like we have accomplished a lot in those 11 years - THREE kids, careers, bought a house, took some trips, got a crazy dog, etc., and really just grew up together. It's been an amazing 11 years.

We celebrated by eating lunch down in PB and reminiscing (God I sound old) about the good old days when all we had to worry about was being at work at 4:30p. Saturday we took our first trip to the beach as a family of five. And it was a success! Sunday we went for a hike as a family of 6 (Sadie included. I am proud of how adventurous we've been and we had a blast.

Car is packed up - we are off!

We LOVE the beach!

The water was FREEZING but nothing stops these two.

Stretch! This is the life :)

We met up with Jamie, Bella and Eva for a little while

Happy anniversary Honey!

Have I told you yet how much I LOVE THIS CARRIER?!

Easter 2017

We had a great Easter weekend (last weekend, I am a little late)! We skipped the traditional hunts and brunches and met the Santoros downtown to watch the Red Bull air races. We had a blast! Everyone was so good, we spent all afternoon there, and the kids kept saying how much fun they had :) I think we all needed a good family outing to feel normal again.

Happy Easter!

Holy candy!

The Easter bunny hid eggs outside again this year. Maybe next year we can make it an indoor affair? It is cold and wet at 6:30am!

So fun to watch!

Party of TEN! We don't travel light these days :)

Owen was sooooo good!

What a surprise asleep in the carrier. It is the BEST!

A little late lunch :)

We were total tourists

Such a cool spot!

Sweet Emery Jean

Emmy continues to amaze and surprise me. I have seen a completely new wide of her since Owen was born. Historically, Emmy hasn't exactly been the most helpful around the house and was never really interested in getting anything for herself (to describe her politely). I had no expectations of anyone in the family after Owen was born but Emmy has completely surprised me! She has been so helpful to me, around the house, with Ryan and has showed a new sense of independence. I could not be more proud of her :) She is growing into a "big" girl before my eyes and she is becoming more beautiful each day. I wish i could freeze time at this moment. She is so sweet, innocent, with no inhibitions and loves spending time with her family. I love having her around these days, she is just the best :)

I will never forget this picture and not just because it was the first time she held her baby brother. I printed a bunch of pictures and this was one of them. She looked at it and said "I look beautiful!". It was the sweetest thing I had ever heard. I dread the days she starts judging herself and becomes self conscious.  She is beautiful!

She was so proud of herself that she could hold him while standing up.

She loves him!

My little artist drawing her favorite thing ever. Spongebob. Ha!

 That's my girl :)

One Month

Today was Owen's one month doctor appointment. We just switched pediatricians so I brought Ryan with me too. I picked him up early from school and we went to lunch at his favorite place, the fish shop. Walked to Yogurt on the Rocks and hit up the park. All while Owen SLEPT! An hour and a half of it was in the carrier :) We had so much fun and each time we have a successful trip out I am even more confident to do it again.

Owen weighed in at 10lb 15oz and 23" long which means he has been averaging a pound a week and grew 3 inches (which doesn't seem possible). Everyone sort of shockingly laughs, like they want to say OH MY GOD that is a lot to gain in a week. I looked back and Ryan was 14lbs at 7 weeks so Owen is about on track to reach that.

Now Ryan on the other hand weighed in at 48lbs and is 45" tall. I never really pay attention to percentages but I happen to take a look at the sheet and he is in the 93% for weight and 98% for height. Talk about a big boy!

I had a blast with my boys today :)

It was a perfect day!
