Happy New Year!

We had a quiet new years eve at home and a great new years day hanging out together.  We took a hike at the bottom of the hill we live on.  We walked 2 miles with the kids and they loved it!  Looking forward to another happy and healthy year with my family!

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike!

We bought Emmy a bike for her 4th birthday and she rarely rides it.  Last weekend she went to her buddy Lia's house for a while and when I picked her up her mom said they'd been riding bikes all day.  But Emmy can't ride a bike? Well she can now! Lia apparently taught her how to ride a bike by telling her to make her legs go and so Emmy did it.  And now she is officially riding her bike with no training wheels!  It was so cute to watch her get so excited to ride around the hood.  We sure got our exercise running next to her but now she is officially on her own :)

Uncle Marc always makes things just a little bit more fun and memorable.  Not only did her jog along next to her, he played Queen's "I want to ride my bicycle" blasting from his phone.  It was hilarious and Emmy has been humming and singing it ever since.

 I guess it is best to get that first fall out of the way. She handled like a champ.  No tears.

We are Canadian, we are allowed to celebrate Boxing day :) At the beach on a beautiful day!

Christmas 2014

I love Christmas and can't believe it is already over! We were lucky enough to have my family come and visit again this year and we had lots of fun, drank and ate a lot and watched Ratatouille about 25 times. :) This was a prime Santa year for the kiddos this year, it was the best.
