Gymnastics 2024 season

 Emmy is already about half way through the season! Its been a fun one, as they always are, and we've hit the road a few times already! This year's travel meet took us to Las Vegas! After our flight was canceled due to the weather we hopped in the car and drove 6.5 hours but we made it!

Emmy did great at the meet and we watched all her friends so were there for like 12 hours. Vegas isn't my favorite place to visit but we did walk the strip one day and check out all of the fancy hotels. We also saw he Michael Jackon One show, it was so cool!

Lucky 7!

 My sweet, loving, full-of-life boy turned 7 yesterday. While it breaks my heart to see my little guy getting older, seeing him grow into the kid he is becoming is fun. He is FULL of life with lots of highs and then some lows, he feels them all equally. He is wise beyond his years in so many ways - academically, socially and athletically and no matter what he does he gives it 100% and is so entertaining along the way and we could not love him more. 

We started his celebration at his baseball game the night before. He is the youngest on the team, but also the most enthusiastic, so everyone just loves him. No surprise :)

His actual birthday happened to fall on a half day at school so I picked him and 3 friends up from school and took them to In n Out for lunch, to the trampoline park and then back to our house for cake and to play football and basketball. It was a wild, exhausting but fun afternoon! Owen has been counting down the days until his birthday so I just hope he felt as special as he had hoped.
