You would think that with me being home 100% of the week, I'd have so much time to update the blog, but I swear it is impossible! I used to update it at work (shhhh) when I was forced to be behind a computer 5 days a week. Now, I am juggling work, kids, a dog, keeping a house up, getting exercise for my mental sanity, etc., so I honestly avoid the computer as much as possible.
The end of the school year was, well, it was the end. Not sure if we/I were happy or sad? I admit, I looked forward to not dragging the kids to a million different summer camps and being able to have fun with them and take them to the beach, etc. And then I was reminded that I am actually WORKING. Ugh. The juggle - it can be rough. Usually all of my grand ideas of adventures and crafts get squashed by 10am as I have my day filled with zoom calls and emails and then they kids are slipping deeper and deeper into a lazy, iPad driven stooper....
Emmy started back to gymnastics which has been amazing! She loves it, its great exercise, she sees friends and keeps up with her regiment. I just wish Ryan could get back to playing a sport.... I can tell he misses it so much and it just breaks my heart :( He won't even play basketball or catch with Josh, I guess this is what a depressed 7 year old looks like?
This past week they went to their first week of camp. It was a neighborhood camp they've gone to for years and they had so many safety protocols in place. I hesitated to sign them up and now I regret not signing them up for more! Ryan finally had a huge smile on his face and he was sore the first few days which made me realize just how much he's been sitting around compared to our "old" life. All and all, I still love us all being at home. We are trying to find a good mix of fun and down time and I just keep trying to remind myself to take one day at a time and appreciate every moment.
Emmy is such an artist. I was going to sign her up for some online art classes but there are so many You Tube videos to watch! We learned to paint with Q Tips :)
Owen looking like a big boy at his 3 year old check-up!
I swear I don't let him every play with my phone. It's even locked with a password but I still seem to find these random pictures!
Our little gardener
Play hard - crash hard
Practicing for our trip to my parents house.
Ahhhh - the bay :)
O-man paddled all by himself next to Josh!
My boys xoxo
Taking his baby for a hide. Ha!
A is for apple. Apple art!
Learning to draw raccoons
The game latest days and she finally won!
Always painting something!
"Look, just like uncle Marc!"
It only took a few months of her begging - gone with the purple, bring on the blue! Poor Josh spent fathers days weekend waiting her room. What a daddy :)
They are literally eating us out of house and home. And I swear they wait until every dish is clean after dinner to tell me they are still hungry
Happy Father's Day to the best daddy I know :) Seems like hikes are our tradition on mothers and fathers days!
I hate iPads but sometimes it is pretty sweet to see them this close
Retail therapy is a thing. After weeks of June gloom and boredom, I took the money we saved for summer camp and spent a week of it at Walmart. And boy did it feel GOOD! Ryan rode his bike to the ground and we'd been looking for a new one for weeks and finally found one (literally the last one)! So Owen got one too :)
And Emmy got a shit ton of chalk. Happy campers all around :)
He's getting so big but he's still so sweet. And he's quiet. Of the 3, I think he's having the toughest time. It's hard to not see friends and not play sports and spend every minute with siblings who are quite dominant. I am always trying to give him extra love - I just hope he feels it.
We dragged our bikes down to the bay for a foggy bike ride!
Just me and the boys :)
Ryan has now golfed to full 18 hole rounds of golf! And the first time he even walked it with Josh.
We have gotten to know so many neighbors. One turned out to be a retired chalk artist. Who would've known! So he dropped off a tub of chalk. The fancy staff that doesn't wash off...
Anything to keep this kid busy.
Kids loves the beach!

We finally cleaned out the closet. It was amazing how much shit we found in there.
He's become quite the baker.
Another weekend - another art project
Self care night
I forced him to do some math and I swear he actually smiled at the end! Ha!
She knows all the cool filters
A few weeks ago we went to a drive in movie - SO FUN! We ate a ton of candy and popcorn and snuggled in my car - I mean what could be better?!
Everyone who walks by moments on our painted rocks. We sometime here people laugh as they walk by or they tell us which ones they like best. We even received a "God bless you" the other day.
Emmy and I decided we needed to up our game. For the neighbors.
