Owen is Three (+ 10 days)

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind but I couldn't let another day go by without writing about my sweet Owie's 3rd birthday!

I stuck to tradition and took the day off of work so we could spend the day together. We went to the children's museum downtown. He was so excited because Blippi (who he watched on You Tube) goes to lots of museums! And little did we know it would be our last adventure out for a while...

We climbed, explored and hung out until they closed early to disinfect the whole place. He was very spoiled with lots of presents and has had lots to play with over the past week. :)

A few things about our Owie Kazowie:
- He LOVES to snuggle. He will yell "nuggle time!" and makes us all gather around for a group hug or snuggle. It is so damn sweet and is my favorite thing he does.

- He has somehow mixed up his "you", "yours", "you're" "are you" and just says "er" all the time. "Mom, er going for a run?".  "Emmy that is Ers". Its pretty cute.

- He finally he starting to get his colors down. Looks like be may not be color blind after all!

- Without ever meeting her, he loves "Baby Fernie" so much he talks like he's know her for year. "My baby cousin love this".  He even draw pictures of Baby Fernie. It is so sweet.

- His best friend at school is Danny and he talks about him and Miss Dom a lot! Fortunately, Danny lives in our hood and will eventually be going to Spreckels too. Wahoo!

- He may be the only one in the family who actually calls Ryan, Ryan. He loves Ryan :)

- He calls Emmy either "My Emmy" or "Emmys"

- Owen loves to swing in the backyard, ride scooters out front and is getting really good at ping pong! (videos to come)

- He still loves watching Blippi, Elmo and Despicable Me 3 and has added Frozen 1 and 2 to the list

- He loves music and his current favorite song is Memories by Maroon 5. He calls it the guy song. I also caught his singing Good as Hell the other day. Looks like we need to start filtering our music!

He is happy about everything but gets frustrated really easily. He wants to do EVERYTHING Emmy and Ryan does and is funny and full of personalty! So basically he is a perfect 3 year old and I could squeeze him all day long. Happy birthday sweet boy :)

What a weekend!

Lot's going on this past weekend! It all started Thursday night as I packed for the next few days.
- Ryan went to school, then to William's house and then straight to baseball practice.
- Josh was in Orange County and then straight to Ryan's baseball practice
- I went to work, Emmy went to school and Owen to daycare and then I picked them up at lunch to drive up to Rancho Cucamonga for Emmy's gymnastics meet!

I had so much stuff packed, it looked like we were going to be gone for a week! Owen was a trooper through it all and enjoyed all of the attention he received from Emmy's friends ;)

Me and Emmy were up at 5:30a doing hair, we all ate breakfast (in bed!) and were out of the hotel by 7:10a. Emmy did great again! 1st for beam, 2nd for fault, 3rd for bars and 4th all around. Beam has because her best event and she struggles a bit with floor but you can't be good at it all! All that matters is that she is having fun.

We ate lunch and then drove 2 hours back to SD to catch the last half of Ryan's baseball game. He's pitching again and working really hard at it.

After the game, we headed over to his bestest buddy's going away party :( Brodie is moving to Texas and Ryan is super bummer and I am bummer for him. Friday is going to be a sad day for him....

Sunday we actually had no plans. That pretty much never happens anymore. We cleaned up, hung at the park and just enjoyed being together as a family :)

All packed up!

We stayed at the residence inn next to the Ontario airport - fancy. Haha

Braiding hair at 5:30am.

Seeing this smile makes it all worth it!

This kid. Hahahaha

Beaming up there after getting 1st place on beam :)

SD United team took second!

Out before we even hit the freeway

Let's go RYAN!

He isn't always easy but he sure is a trooper on the weekends

A few of Ryan's buddies came to cheer him on - so sweet.

Brodie's dad was recruited at the head football coach for Lamar University in Texas so we can at least cheer them on from afar. Ryan and Brodie have been in the same class for 2 years and are best buds. He really is going to miss him and his family :(
