Mammoth 2018

Last weekend we took a family road trip to Mammoth and it was AWESOME! Josh had to work at the tequila festival and we tagged along. The kids were angels in the car (much to our surprise) and we had lots of fun exploring the activity center in Mammoth, going on a boat ride, fishing and swimming. Jill and Craig were able to meet us for a few days too. We stayed in a two bedroom suite so we weren't exactly roughing it :) It was a great way to celebrate Ryan's 6th birthday and it inspired us to visit the mountains more often!

We decided to let Owen face forward for the ride which was the best idea I have ever had. He LOVED it! He kept waving at every car that drove by.

Car ride shenanigans

7 hours later - we made it!

Last night snuggling with my 5 year old. Sniff, sniff.

Happy birthday!

Pics Emmy took from our room.

The activity center was awesome! So much stuff for them to do. Emmy is already fearless and so adventurous but apparently, Ryan's new 6 year old self is too!

They did this rope course that was crazy! I was scared just watching them. Even Josh kept saying he couldn't believe Ryan was doing it. The pics just don't do it justice.

Meanwhile...

JUMP!

A little pit stop to eat a 3 pound pretzel that was the size of my HEAD.

YEEEOOOOW

Dinner in the room while daddy works

We cruised over to the festival for a little while. The village in Mammoth is adorable.

I had a little side kick at the gym one morning :)

Chilaxing after a good sweat.

Josh rented a boat with a BBQ on it. So cool! And it was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful

Emmy learned very quickly that lake water is COLD. I wish I got it on video. ahahaha

You think they are related?!

Trying to warm up

Right about now it started to thunderstorm! We don't  have the best luck on boats ;)
So we cut the trip short and went to Mexican food for dinner.

Toast

The next day we went fishing at lake George - it was beautiful!

Owen kept busy the whole time throwing rocks into the water.

Movie night at the village

Pool time!

Delirious in the middle of nowhere which was one of the most fun parts of the trip! Listening to Josh belt out Greatest Showman tunes, while driving a SUV with a car topper on it (with weird iron man and cat stickers that we borrowed from our neighbor) and 3 kids in the back. Oh how times have changed.
