Long Weekend with Uncle Marc!

Not only did we have a 3 day weekend, we had no softball games and Uncle Marc came to town. Wahoo! We kicked off the weekend with a Friday nights game - Ryan's last game of the season. My and Owen hung out for a bit and then had to head home early. Saturday we just cruised around PB and ATE - acai bowls, breakfast burritos, it was ridiculous. Marc got to experience the new obsession at our house - softball and baseball. If the kids aren't playing it, they are watching it on TV non-stop. Needless to say, I've learned a lot about the sport ;) We miss uncle Marc already and wish we could see him more often - hopefully soon!

Monday we took a hike and I headed out to a friend's going away party and out for drinks with Anne. It was an awesome way to end the weekend :)

This guy is pretty obsessed with wearing sunglasses

Ryan was scared of snakes so Emmy put her arm around him. While it was brief, it was the sweetest thing ever. They really do love each other. For now anyway ;)

Softball, baseball and more softball!

Wow, we spent an entire weekend on a baseball fiend! Emmy's game yesterday were in Lakeside. Fortunately, she hitched a ride with Audrey to the first game. Owen napped and then we headed over to catch the last bit of Ryan's baseball game. Then we headed to watch Emmy's second game. She was VERy excited to wear her New Jersey with her name on it. We grabbed dinner with the Fordes afterward and got home around 8p. Emmy had a game at 8a this morning that meant we had to leave the house at 6:30a. Well, I should say Josh had to take her and Audrey and 6:30 ;) Me and the boys got there just in time to watch an exciting game. They won!  Wow, east county softball was a different world. Ha! Those girls did not mess around and must play 365 days a year and forge birth certificates. They lost the second game but the girls played great and had fun which is all that matters. Ryan loves it because he gets to play with William the whole time. They were eating shaved ice by 8:30a, played in a solid 6 hours of catch and between pretzels and nachos - are their weight in fake cheese. Emmy is really getting into this the softball spirit with bow headbands and everything with her name on it.

Owen is a mad man at these games. He just plays around in dirt.

Delirious

Such a sweetie

His bath tonight was brown. I wonder why?

He biggest fan :)

Could he be any cuter?!

I guess 6 hours wasn't enough...

Field Trip

Last week I went with Ryan and his class to Sea World. It was so fun! One of the kids in the class his mom in the head dolphin trainer so we got all the special treatment. They got to meet a beaver and sloth and touch the dolphins. It is so fun to hang with Ryan and his buddies. He still wants me around and to hold my hand, it melts my heart. He has had some a great kindergarten year. His teacher is so awesome. He's gone on at least 8 field trips, it reading books, getting 100% on his math and it apparently a great leader. So proud of my little dude.
