And just like that - she is 8

Happiest birthday to my big 8 year old. How is Emmy already 8?! She is so full of personality and turning into a big girl before our eyes. She is smart, funny, stubborn, strong, loves to eat, is sweet, beautiful and is always having fun. This year seems extra special to me as our family grows again. She will always be my first baby and now my only daughter, a special bond I hope we have forever. Despite her comments about wanting a sister or having to deal with another brother (followed by an ugh) I think she’s caught onto the fact that there are many times it’ll be just us girls a lot over the years :) “You are my monkey, my only monkey you make me happy when skies are blue. You’ll never know just how much I love you….”

Long Weekend

I love 3 day holiday weekends! Especially when I get to make them 4 days long :) I worked last weekend so took Friday off which was much needed. Emmy had no school so we went to lunch, hung out and set her up with her first email account! She's been so excited to contact people like Uncle Marc and Katie and get immediate responses. It is really sweet :)
Saturday was our standard running around and we went to the Santoro's for brunch on Sunday. Even though they live in San Diego we don't get to see them nearly enough! They were so sweet and make us a diaper cake and gave Owen and few sweet gifts. I can't believe he will be here in less than 3 weeks! Looking forward to finally being done with work (9 days to go wahoo!) and having a few days at home to get organized.
Can't believe our little monkey is turning 8 on Thursday. Sadly, Josh had to go to Texas for work but my mom will be down here to help. Lots of exciting plans for the b-day week including a bday party on Saturday!

 The Santoro's just moved to an awesome new house across from a bike path which is perfect for hiking with the kids.

Monday - finally a lazy morning. Even Sadie lay around and watched TV with the kids. Ha!

Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa

Well, third time is a charm, Jill and Craig made it down last weekend! The kids were super excited. We had another Christmas, played at the park, shopped, did crafts and just played. Ryan had his first tee-ball practice and we bought most of the required gear :) Soooo cute!

34 weeks

And 6 to go! Or possibly only 5 :)  Little guy is measuring 2.5 weeks ahead and is estimated to be over 6 lbs right now. Hence the massive belly and constant hunger attacks.
