Second Grade!

Can't believe this is Emmy's 3rd year at Spreckels. There are four 2nd grade classes so she was really slip up from her friends but besides being a little shy she was raring to go this morning! Good think about four classes - each are pretty small. She really loved summer camp this year and I think it gave her a lot of confidence knowing she can make new friends as she goes.

I've realized my in front of the door shots show us how tall she is getting!

Showing off her killer new boots ;)

Emmy and her best friend Riley whose mom was much more organized than me with the second grade sign to hold :)

**** The last days of summer****

I took a few days off last week to hang with Emmy and try to get a little organized before school started (aka clean the house!)

Thursday Riley came over and hang out for most of the day :)

Friday was shopping day! Emmy loves shopping as much as I do - DANGEROUS!

Ended our long, tiring day with a pedi :)

August Summer fun

Marc made him annual August trip again this year. He and Kristen flew in before we left for Yosemite and stayed with Sadie. Win win for all! Kristen headed back to NY and Marc stuck around until Saturday. The week was filled with wrestling, soccer and lots of junk food. As always the kids had a blast!

Marc bought them a giant ice cream cake!

I got tickets to the pre-season Chargers game from work. Our non-stop days/late nights/guests/travels all while still working full time has made me exhausted (and I had to work at 7a on Saturday morning)!  So I had a few hours alone while they went to the game. :)

A little breakfast before Marc headed out on the train

Sunday we hit up the beach! Emmy sure knows how to relax these days :)

Yosemite 2016

Last weekend we headed up Yosemite! It had been probably 3 years so we were well overdue for a trip. We ended up flying which saved us maybe an hour but a whole lot of head ache. An hour flight and 2 1/2 hour drive is easier than a 8-9 hour drive. Zach/Amy, Brittany/Gavin and Gena/Daniel all came and met us with the kids so we had a blast! It was 100 degrees to pretty toasty but we spent lots of time in water. We also got to spend lots of time with Josh's parents, grandparents and uncle which is always fun. It was a busy but super fun trip.

Day at the lake

More cousin time! It was especially fun since we all just saw each other.

Emmy kept saying over and over "Eisley is sooo cute". I couldn't agree more :)

I sat at the kids table for a little while. Conversation consisted of burps and farts - love it.

And I wonder where Emmy gets her adventurous spirit from. Josh launching off a rock into rainbow pools

Zach too!

Emmy opted for a smaller rock. She follows the boys around everywhere!

We took the pontoon boat our on the lake at the perfect time of night.

Dan let the kids drive the boat. I mean really drive the boat and few times I wanted to yell to take the steering wheel from them before we crashed!

So fun to jump off the boat and swim in the water :)

We made it into Yosemite one day (with a million other people) for a quick little hike.

Then we stopped for some lunch at a river. The kids loved it.

I have a million more pictures on my camera that I will hopefully post soon :)

We had a blast, hoping to make the trip again soon!
