Thanksgiving 2015

We had a nice but pretty quiet (if you can call our house quiet anymore) Thanksgiving in San Diego with my parents. I think it is Ryan's new favorite holiday because all we watched and played was football! We also ate a ton, were over-taken by dogs and started to kick-off the Christmas season!

I told Ryan to take his jammies off and go get dressed so we could play outside. He came down wearing this. The kids was ready to play football!

Snuggles :)

And a whole lot of football!

DOGS!

And more football! Safety first :)

We drove to get lunch at Emmy's favorite place in the world - Clairemont Square. It also happened to be the Clairemont parade and they had tons of activities. They had a blast. Good old Clairemont :)

Yesterday we went for a hike.

It was hard for everyone to get moving this morning....

What we've been up to

It's been a while since I've had a chance to post any new pics. We've been busy, as always, and I can't really remember with what! Emmy was the superstar this month at school and she did her ancestor presentation on my grandma, Ryan started playing tee-ball, Sadie is still as crazy as ever and Julie came for a visit!

Her presentation board. It was so sweet. When we were in Westlake with the Murrays we all helped her learn about Nanny.

Superstar student!

Auntie Julie!

During week #1 Ryan wouldn't even participate but week #2 he was a champ! At the end he said "That was so much fun!". So sweet. The kid is crazy talented when it comes to sports.

He is also OBSESSED with football these days. He runs around the house pretending to catch balls and then falls down. The pop warner league was going on during tee ball so we had to watch. Crazy to see these 8 year old boys in pads.
Only in SD do people bring umbrellas to sports games. Not for rain, but to stay away from the sun. It was 90 degrees and sooooo hot!

Monkey being her usual self

Sadie has met a new friend at the park, we've seen him a few times now. Sadie grabs the end of the toy and the two of them run around, it is awesome.

Because then she crashes! A tired dog is a good dog :)

Sunday trip to the ER

We have our first broken bone in the Lawrence house! It wasn't during gymnastics, on the monkey bars. a climbing wall, on her bike or during one of her climbing adventures. Emmy tripped at the Science Museum. Poor kid. Her arms drooped so I covered her arm so she couldn't see, threw both kids in the car and rushed to the ER. Thank God Emmy is so brave and Ryan was an angel because we spent 3 hours in the ER just the three of us until Josh got my message. Emmy was mostly pissed about the fact that she wasn't allowed any water or food. She was finally knocked out (with ketamine of all drugs) and they re-set her arm and we left later that evening. She has definitely been milking the broken arm but we've let her, for a few days anyway :) Hopefully she will be back to her fearless self in 4-6 weeks!

Waiting for the xrays. Thank goodness for TV!

Brave little monkey waking up

Well this is one way to break her from sucking her thumb! She's had some trouble settling because she is so used to sucking her left thumb. She actually feel asleep watching football with Daddy :)

Halloween 2015

We spent Halloween with Emmy's buddy Riley and her family again this year. They live around the corner from us so it's perfect! We got together with the Cocklin's some of their friends and some more of Emmy and Riley's buddies from school. It was a zoo but everyone had a blast.
