Weekend in the Water!

Last weekend we headed up to Westlake to hang out with Marc and float in the pool.  Emmy logged a solid 8 hours per day, she was in the pool by 9am Saturday morning! She and Marc played for hours diving for things, doing cannon balls and jumping in the pool with their clothes on.  By Sunday Ryan was just there with them.  We had so much fun! Emmy also lost her second tooth!  I think they are still recovering :)

Next up - the circus

Marc is going camping next week so set-up his tent.  We couldn't quite convince the kids to sleep in there.

Weekend Fun!

 We knew it would only be a matter of time before she wanted to try standing up.  She was determined!  And Ryan just cheered from the beach.  Yay Emmy!

Movie Night!

Last night Clarissa, Josh, Zoe and Miles came for dinner.  It's been a while since we all got together so it was really fun!  Emmy and Zoe are such good buds and Ryan kept calling Miles "baby" even though he has 4 inches on Ryan. Haha.

Emmy wanted to use her $5 to buy ice cream!  We took advantage of our zoo passes that are expiring soon so she got some ice cream at the zoo. Ice cream for lunch. :)

 

Ryan is really into animals right now.  He was so excited, kept saying animals over and over.  He watched the monkeys up close for a while and even gave them a kiss through the glass.  "bye bye monkeys!"

Emmy lost her first tooth!

Well, it took a good few days of hanging on by a thread but Emmy's took finally came out yesterday!  She was so excited.  The tooth fairy left a note and a sparkly $5 bill.  :)

BEACH!

 We spent the last two days at the beach and it was perfect!  Perfect weather, family laughs, great friends and tons of fun.  Yesterday we headed down to the beach late and today we were there bright and early to celebrate the 4th and were there all day!

My kids LOVE the beach.  Ryan chants beach the whole way there and Emmy is truly a SD beach girl.  Today I went swimming with her and even I was getting nervous about how far out we were going.  She just kept saying further!  She jumps over huge waves and started body surfing with Josh. She is everything I am not and I love watching how adventurous, fearless and confident she is.

Today the Santoro's met up with us and the kids had so much fun.  Kinda nice for us parents when they can entertain each other :)

No naps = no fireworks for us this year.  Maybe next year!  Happy July 4th!
