Dinseyland Day #2
It is still crazy to me, when I look at pictures like this one, that Emmy is so light considering I am so dark!
Just because a lollipop is sugar free, does not mean that is has to food coloring!
Waiting to watch the Aladdin Show.
Our attempt of a family pic on the Ariel ride
Wow, look another carousel!
Day #3 with no nap, she just couldn't make it any longer. She loved the parade so much we headed over to see it again and then she fell asleep. A marching band literally walked by and she still did not wake up. I thought it was too mean to wake her up after we left so we got her up and watched the parade one last time... :)
Disneyland - Day # 1
Making herself at home the first night in the hotel.
Honestly I think she was most excited about riding the shuttle bus!
Patiently waiting to ride Dumbo.
We must have ridden the carousel 5 times, at least it was the only thing that didn't have a 45+ minute wait.
Her first time in a boat through the story book canal.
Daddy bought Emmy some princess shoes!
I waited in line for 45 in the sun to meet Mini. Good thing we got some good pics!
Pinocchio ride!
Waiting for the parade.
Boy was it worth the wait.
Emmy and Josh out cold after a lone first day.
Field Trip
Then we both played hookie and went shopping for a new dress to wear to Disneyland and went to lunch together.

Happy Birthday Emmy!
Monkey is 3! Can you believe it?! We are celebrating by having pancakes for breakfast (one of her favorites) heading to the library for a school field trip (I am volunteering to drive and hang out – I can’t want to see her with all her buddies!) opening presents and then driving to Disneyland to spend a few days at the happiest place on earth!
I had no idea just how much Emmy would change my life when she was born. She is the most amazingly happy, friendly, fun, smart, funny, caring, beautiful little girl. Everything I do is so much more fun because of her. Being able to live life through her eyes is the greatest gift ever. Watching her face light up when she experiences something new, check herself out in the mirror when she has carefully selected her new outfit, dance around the room with no inhibitions, listening to her sing at the top of her lungs or blurt out new phrases like “You are kidding me?!” or “what are you talking about guys?”, or how excited she gets to do simple things like wash dishes or help fold laundry makes having her around fun all the time. She is so caring when someone is hurt or sad and snuggles up as if she can’t get close enough to you, but is also so funny and silly you can’t help but smile and laugh. I love her so much, she is my little monkey. Other than “I love you” the best thing she has said to me lately is “Mommy you are my best friend”. And she is mine too, forever :) She even paints my finger nails, brushes my hair and tells me when she thinks my outfit is ugly. Sigh… the sign of a true best friend.

3 Day Weekend
Josh and Emmy headed to Sea World on Saturday. This is the first time they went without me and it sounded like they had a blast. Emmy came home with a giant, pink shamu!
She doesn't leave the house without her pink cowboy boots on.
In lieu of a b-day party this year, we are taking Emmy to Disneyland on Friday! But we did have a few friends over for pizza for a pre-birthday celebration.
We got all dressed up to bake her cake. Yes, we have matching aprons :)
Emmy's bestest buddies Finn and Ava came over and they all had a blast! She is such a lucky girk to have such fun little friends.
Emmy got to hold baby Sophia and was so nice and gentle, she was so sweet.
